Apink's father Hong Yoo-kyung is known to be a mid-sized conglomerate.

DSR was founded in 1965 by Chairman Hong Soon-mo, the father of CEO Hong Ha-jong, that is, Hong Yoo-kyung's grandfather. DSR is divided into DSR (DSR CORP) and DSR WIRE CORP, of which DSR Steel, where Hong Yoo-kyung's father is the CEO, was established in 1971 and listed on the stock exchange in January 2003. DSR is also seeking to be listed within this year.

DSR Steel started with Samhwa Steel. Founded in 1971, Samhwa Steel will be approved as a factory recognized by the Lloyd's Shipment Association (LLOYD's) and changed its name to Cheongi Steel in the same year after being approved as a factory recognized by the American Shipment Association and the Korea Shipment Association in 1981.

Cheongi Steel, which had been steadily developing since joining the Korea Steel Association in 1982, showed rapid growth by changing its company name to DSR Steel in May 2000. In 2002, the second plant in Suncheon was completed within the Suncheon Industrial Complex, and in January 2003, it was stock-listed on the stock exchange.

DSR Steel has been reborn as a mid-sized steelmaker by winning the $50 million Export Tower on Trade Day in 2007 and the $70 million Export Tower on Trade Day in Jeollanam-do in 2009. Currently, DSR Steel, which exports to more than 100 countries, has local sales offices in four locations: the United States, Germany, Japan, and China.

DSR Steel is a company that manufactures and sells wire ropes and hard steel wires used in various industries, with sales reaching KRW 147.44 billion as of the end of 2010. The total assets are 103.6 billion won and equity capital is 61.8 billion won.

Hong Yoo-kyung's father, Hong Ha-jong, CEO of DSR Steel, is a former Daewoo Economic Research Institute and holds 4.162,950 shares, or 28.91 percent stake in DSR Steel Company.

DSR Steel shares were trading at 3,870 won as of 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 9. Therefore, the amount of ownership of Hong Yoo-kyung's father's stake is KRW 16.11 billion.

Hong Yu-kyung also owns a stake in DSR Steel. As of December 22 last year, Hong Yu-kyung held 108,000 shares, or 0.75% of the company. It is 417.96 million won in terms of conversion. Considering that Hong Yoo-kyung was born in 1994, Hong Yoo-kyung is not a mother's daughter, but Hong Yoo-kyung is already a chaebol.
